Thanksgiving is in the rearview and now the true American holiday, pre-Christmas Shopping Season, is upon us. Not wanting to get left behind, the UD Alumni Relations Blog will be bringing you, loyal reader, all kinds of gift ideas that will make you the toast of the family when the presents are opened.

Watching UD alumnus Joe Flacco lead the Baltimore Ravens to victory last weekend, the UD Alumni Relations Blog’s heart swelled with pride. One of our own Blue Hens was starring on national tv, representing the University of Delaware in front of millions.

While the great work being done by the UD Community can’t be broadcast into homes across the nation like Flacco’s is, we can all certainly represent UD like he does.

So for this holiday season pick up some UD merchandise at the UD Bookstore online. UD Xtreme Makeover

A dozen families of incoming UD freshmen (Class of 2013) are competing online to win a semester’s worth of textbooks, and your vote will determine who gets the free books.

During each day of freshman orientation (DelaWorld), a family was randomly chosen to get a $200 gift certificate from the UD Bookstore to purchase UD gear.

These daily winners then were asked to model their new UD look and submit their photos to the “Xtreme Delaware Family Makeover” contest to win the textbooks. Now the fate is in your hands, loyal reader. You must choose which family has the most UD spirit. Visit the “Xtreme Delaware Family Makeover” site to vote on your fave family now.
