Friday morning a UD student was found by security on the grounds of the Chrysler plant on South College Ave. across from the UD College of Agriculture and Natural Resources buildings.
The student had slept on the plant’s grounds after having been at a party the previous evening and getting lost on her way home. While lost, the student saw the train tracks and followed them to the plant and she called the security desk from within one of the plant’s buildings. The security guard on duty hung up on the student thinking it was a prank call.

The UD Alumni Relations Blog imagines that she spent the evening fending off hordes of zombies that populate the 270-acre complex. After attempting to run from the relentless undead, the student was finally forced to fight. Her initial attempts at spearing and torching the zombies were unsuccessful and it was only until lopped the head off one of her pursuers with a scythe did she figure out the only way to kill a zombie. The rest of the night was a zombie bloodbath as our brave Blue Hen fought tooth-and-nail for her survival (this bit may or may not be true).
In the morning, the student was found by security (“not appearing to be under the influence of alcohol” in case you were wondering) and she was taken to the UD infirmary. Police were called but no charges were pressed and all lived happily ever after – until the undead rise up again, that is.
