Colin Powell is coming to speak at the University of Delaware on November 3rd.
Powell, a man who frankly needs no introduction, is the former Secretary of State, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the former National Security Advisor and the former lead guitarist in 80s hair-metal band Warrant (3 0f 4 are true).
Powell’s speech “Diplomacy: Persuasion, Trust and Values,” is part of the UD Speaks series. UD Speaks brings world-class leaders to campus to educate, enlighten and engage the university community. Last April CNN journalist Anderson Cooper came to campus, but the UD Alumni Relations Blog must admit that bagging Gen. Powell is a step up and a real coup.
The event begins at 8:30 pm at the Bob. The speech will be followed by a Q&A session. Tickets go on sale on September 15. Prices are $5 for students, $10 for faculty and staff, $15 for military personnel (active duty and retired) and $25 for the public. All seating is general admission.
