Alumni added to Wall of Fame

Last Friday four distinguished Blue Hens were added to the UD Alumni Wall of Fame. Robert D. Fleck ’69, Francis “Skip” Gardiner Jr. ’62, Spangler “Buzz” Klopp ’66 ’68M and David Plastino ’78 were inducted into UD’s most prestigious alumni group.

In recognition of the many notable achievements of its alumni, the University and the University of Delaware Alumni Association established the Alumni Wall of Fame in 1984. The Wall of Fame recognizes outstanding professional and public service achievements by University of Delaware graduates.

The UD Alumni Relations Blog normally has something snarky or sarcastic to say about self-congratulatory aspect of awards, but the work and service of these individuals deserves only respect and admiration.  Our only complaint was that we were not only overlooked by the selection committee, but – adding insult to injury – we were not even nominated.  Loyal readers, where you at?

If you would like to nominate an individual for the Alumni Wall of Fame (hint, hint), please visit the UD Alumni Relations Alumni Wall of Fame web page.
